Exit onto Union Street (Exit 165). Head west (toward the water) on Union Street for approximately four blocks. At 3rd Avenue, turn left. Go two blocks to Seneca Street and turn right.The northbound local bypass opened in early 2006, followed by the southbound local bypass in Spring 2007. Continuing north through Orange County, Interstate 5 was reconstructed and widened substantially in the mid-2000s between SR 73 and SR 91. Parts of this section of freeway contain as many as 22 lanes, including auxiliary and carpool lanes.All lanes of I-5 north and south had been closed between mileposts 48-55 (about 5 miles south of Grants Pass) for law enforcement activity around 4pm Sunday. It says parts of the closure could be lengthy, "A detour is in place for both directions -- Exit 55 (southbound) and Exit 45A (northbound) -- onto Highway 99.".
