There is a mod called Faster HDT-SMP that's reportedly working for some users. This all said, Some master lists have said XPSME isn't functioning either so I haven't tried re-implementing physics yet, if it turns out XPSME is fine I'll have the task of rebuilding my physics later tonight 😅. If you look at CBP sources the code for physics simulation is very simple. SMP can attach physics to (almost) any bone. CBPC is just for a few predefined.
